Our Commitment to Sterilization
Paola Family Dentistry has always been committed to top-of-the-line infection control and sterilization techniques. But 2020 has brought us new challenges, and we want to assure you we are ready to meet them. Our team takes instrument and surface sterilization very seriously. When single-use tools can’t be used, we clean and sterilize all instruments after every use with a special unit called an autoclave. An independent laboratory regularly monitors this unit to ensure the highest level of safety and cleanliness. Your health is too important to us to take even the slightest risk.
Of course, we have always sanitized regularly touched surfaces, and our concentration on doing so has increased. “Social distancing” has become our new reality, and we’ve instituted measures to make that easier while you’re in our building.
During your treatment, we have the option of using the Isolite™ Dental Isolation System. This unit’s most important feature is its suction, which removes droplets and aerosols from the air during treatment. It also uses a flexible, non-latex, polymer mouthpiece to provide a superior level of dental isolation and provides improved intra-oral illumination. Its built-in bite block assists you in comfortably keeping your mouth open. The Isolite was designed to make your treatment quicker and easier, not only eliminating multiple hand instruments previously used by dentists and dental assistants but also shortening your time in the chair and in our office.
